How do you connect a mouse on Xbox?

Thanks to Xbox having a similar operating system as Windows it is pretty easy, you just connect the keyboard and mouse using the USB, and it will be recognized immediately by the console. Xbox series X/S is only compatible with wired devices and a keyboard and mouse that uses a 2.4 GHz dongle. It seems Bluetooth devices are not supported.

Your mouse will work almost the same as it was connected to a PC. Mouse acceleration might be an issue but in general, it is negligible. Mouse also doesn’t work with the Xbox UI, you will need to use a controller or your keyboard to navigate the Xbox UI menu.

What games support a keyboard and mouse on Xbox?

Though the Xbox is compatible with a mouse and keyboard, it doesn’t mean software support. Some popular games that are supported are the following:

  • Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition
  • Age of Empires 4: Anniversary Edition
  • Alan Wake 2
  • Ark: Survival Evolved
  • Atomic Heart
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
  • Cities: Skylines
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Fortnite
  • Forza Motorsport
  • Halo Infinite
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator
  • Minecraft

And a few more Xbox games. To get a full list you can look at the list made by the Purebox website: https://www.purexbox.com/guides/all-xbox-games-with-mouse-and-keyboard-support
