How to Add Friends to Your Steam Family List and Give Them Access to Your Library?

Steam has a feature called Steam Family Sharing that gives your family and friends access to your Steam library. This allows them to download and play what you bought without them spending cash on getting it. This is a convenient way to help your friends and family get access to games that they won’t be able to buy themselves.

How do you add your friends and family to your Steam Family list?

First, you need to make sure that they are already added to your friends list.
Second, you need to log in to your Steam on your friend/family’s PC. This is important for the authorization process.
While logged in to your friend’s PC, you need to open settings and then open the Family tab in the list.
In the Family tab, tick the “Authorize this computer” option.

And Viola, you just shared your Steam library with your friend, you just need to log out and let your friend log in to his Steam account. They will be able to see your library added to theirs and they will be able to download and play those titles.

You can also manage which games are accessible to your friends and family. To do this, click on the “Manage Family View” button. If you have a child and want to control their gaming time on the family PC you can set a PIN code in Family View.
